Even Superman has kryptonite. And if he has something that brings him to his knees and makes him cry out, then I feel like it is okay that I hurt. It is okay that I cry. It is okay that there are some things that are too big for me to deal with on my own. It's okay. And best of all, it will be okay. This too shall pass.

My dear friend, did you notice you identify yourself with Superman? I did. And I think that's accurate. ...except of course for the -man suffix.
ReplyDeleteBut there's something there of hope. You know you're meant for greatness.
Consider where your "Kryptonite" comes from. Most often, it lies in the lonely foxholes of the heart, as Elder Holland would say. Strengthen your defenses there, and there isn't a thing that can discourage you from without.
Remember, I think you're great. You've always got me!
And, much more importantly, your strongest ally - your Savior - already conquered all sorrow and pain in this world preparing you a way to escape your's. You know this :) His sacrifice is the proof of your worth. What more can I say?
