Moral Discipline

"Mere wanting is hardly a proper guide for moral conduct."

For some reason, this has been jumping out at me recently. Every Sunday for something like 3 weeks now, somebody mentions it. And every time, I am overwhelmed by the power and truth behind this simple statement.

I am so grateful for inspired prophets and apostles.

  1. Reyna, wanna know something crazy? I know the girl who modeled for that painting!

I loved that talk, as in it scared me a little bit. We just talked about it in my Sunday School class. I hope it didn't get overlooked coming after such a powerful talk from Elder Holland.

  2. It is continuously impressed upon me that we live in a sanctified time. We are blessed with, not only, the guidance of modern-day Prophets and Apostles—-which have not been available for thousands of years--but we are also given a second and powerful witness of our Savior, Jesus Christ--The Book of Mormon, which no other people in history have had with such marvelous availability. We have the fullness of the Everlasting Gospel to combat the trials of these ladder-days and it is easily accessible to all mankind, which truly testifies of the infinite love of our Heavenly Father. I am unable to express how grateful I am. Thank you for posting this talk, Reyna.
