Creepy

Talk to me about this.
There is no reason for me to expect anything besides an empty shower.
Yet I do.

I can't let my hand hang off the side of the bed.
There is nothing under my bed but suitcases and giant rubbermaid containers full of winter clothes.
So why do I feel like something is going to pull me under?

Do you ever feel like that?
The irrational fear that makes the back of your neck tingle?

  1. I don't even HAVE an under-the-bed right now, and yet I still feel the need to leap into bed from across the room if I'm freaked out. You never know what'll grab your ankles as you're climbing into bed. As for the shower thing, I pretty much always have to check behind the curtain before I do anything else in the bathroom. That might be because my siblings and I used to hide in there when we were kids and jump out and scare unsuspecting bathroom-users. Yep.

  3. I don't have the shower problem. Mine is the moment you turn the lights off downstairs, or in the living room and have to make it up the stairs to your room. Sometimes I get freaked out, like something is chasing me, so I go fast up the stairs. It also happens sometimes just getting to the bed. Once I'm under the covers, I'm safe, especially when Russ is under them with me.

  4. I mostly feel like there is a spider, but I guess a murderer would be worse. And my hands dangle everywhere. Perhaps I should be more careful about that. Have you read that story? :)

  5. I don't have the shower problem, but I do possess the same fear as 'Super B'. :) It's quite hilarious when you really think about it.

By the way, I came across your blog by accident, and absolutely love it! Thanks for making such a wonderful blog. :)
