"Yeah, well it's boring now, isn't it? They're boring-ers! They're blue... boring-ers!"

Last night, I asked my roommate what she was doing.
Her answer led me to a conversation that astounded me.

Roomie: "I'm playing MarioCart because I'm bored."
Me: "What? Bored? How are you bored?"
Roomie: "Whenever I'm not with people, I'm bored. I'm bored whenever I'm alone."
Me: "WHAT?! HOW?! I DO NOT UNDERSTAND."

I do not think that I have ever been bored in my whole life.
How does one become bored?
Who even invented boredom?
Bored of what?
What is there possibly to be bored of when you are alone?

I love being alone.
I am so entertaining to myself!
There is so much to think about!
There is so much to do!

This quote by Louis CK sums it up what I think perfectly:

"I’m bored’ is a useless thing to say. I mean, you live in a great, big, vast world that you’ve seen none percent of. Even the inside of your own mind is endless; it goes on forever, inwardly, do you understand? The fact that you’re alive is amazing, so you don’t get to say ‘I’m bored."
— Louis CK

Yeah yeah yeah!

On the title: {Points if you know what it's from} You do not have a blue boring-ers in your life. Do not press them. Do not make things boring. It's a choice.

Also, here is some good advice for your Monday:

  2. Hi!! you haven't met me but you probably know of me. Anyway i LOVE that saying from Lois C K about being bored! I am totally gonna quote that forever.

Whenever we complained about being bored as kids, my mom would tell us, "You're only bored if you're boring!" and it was true in a way...
